Bogus/Ghost Ration Cards Detection Drive

The ration cards that do not fit the criteria should be immediately disqualified and canceled and action should be taken to give them other permissible ration cards as per the demand of the concerned. Similarly, as per Government circular dated 17.07.2019, instructions have been given to conduct a search operation for duplicate, non-existent persons, dead persons and ineligible ration cards and cancel them. Also, as per the government circular dated 28.01.2021, the field offices have been instructed to carry out a special search mission for ineligible ration cards. Due to increasing incidence of Corona in the states, lack of manpower etc., the ineligible ration card campaign has been suspended as per the government circular dated 01.04.2021.
